Awareness and Perception of Undergraduate Dental Students Towards Providing Comprehensive Security and Compliance to Patients - A Questionnaire Survey

Abstract:

To achieve compliance, the physicians will need certain organizational methods to implement comprehensive security and privacy. The comprehensive security can be provided by people, process and technology.The aim of the present study is to find out whether dental students are aware about the methods and ways to provide comprehensive security and compliance to patients.A cross sectional survey was conducted among 100 dental students. Questionner was designed including demographic details with open and closed ended 20 questions .The questioner was distributed through the online survey website ‘google forms’ among the dental students. The datas were collected and analyzed using SPSS software. The Pearson Chi square test was also done.The results were represented in the form of pie charts and bar graph. The results reveals about 74% were aware about comprehensive security.72% were aware that technology played a key role in maintaining comprehensive security among patients.The present study concludes that the moderate level of the participants were aware about how to provide comprehensive security and compliance to patients through people,process and technology.
