Father of surgery Acharya sushruta has devoted exclusive two chapters for vidradhi one is to explain causes and symptoms and other is for treatment of different abscess in his book named Sushruta samhita. As per Acharya Sushruta if vidradhi has been converted in pakvavastha than first we should drain the abscess cavity and after that treatment of vrana regimen should be followed strictly to avoid recurrence. In the present context, a 35 years old female suffering from lower back abscess was admitted and treated with Polyherbal Dashang lepa, jatyadi tail application and some oral herbal medication.
