Intraoperative hypotension is commonly encountered by anaesthesiologists during an anaesthetic intervention. Mephentermine is a sympathomimetic drug, which is used for hypotension. Several studies have proved that mephentermine is as effective as any other vasopressor. Even in parturients when used in small incremental bolus injections, it appears to have no adverse neonatal effects. The present report concerns the clinical experience of mephentermine in comparison with other vasopressors and the outcomes.
