The paper analyzes the state of glaucomatous excavation of the optic nerve disk in 54 eyes with normal tension glaucoma with retinal Heidelberg tomography retina. The irreversible nature of changes in the fundus was established. The achievement of tolerant ophthalmotonus did not entail a statistically significant decrease in the exacavation on the optic nerve disk.
