Enzymes in industrialized catalysts have remarkable potentials as their fabrication is easy and every substrate has its distinct enzyme. Compared to organic materials, inorganic nanomaterials provide exclusive support to enzymes, as well as high resistance to microbial corrosion, better reusability and high enzyme stability. Due to the easy recovery of the product and substrate, the chosen enzyme immobilization and magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are the most universally known carriers of proteins / enzymes among the inorganic nano-materials. A more complicated overview of the applications and recent advances of cellulase (CL) enzyme immobilization on different functionalized MNPs was addressed in this article. In addition, in various fields such as enzyme reusability, superficial rescue method of CL, and the capable development of biotechnology method, an effort to exercise the future perspective of the research scope.
