Catalytic Desulfuration of Oil Products under Ultrasonic Treatment

Author: M.O.KAPTAKOV
Abstract: In this study, the phenomenon of catalytic oxidation of sulfur-containing organic compounds in hydrocarbon media under ultrasonic treatment has been discovered and investigated. Oxidized sulfur-containing organic compounds obtained as a result of such a catalytic reaction have been proven to be able to transfer irreversibly into drops of a water-oil emulsion created by ultrasound. The technique of oil and oil products catalytic oxidative desulfuration has been developed and proven to be very powerful in deep hydrocarbon desulfuration.
Keyword: oil products, desulfuration, ultrasound, catalysts.
