Esthetic rehabilitation of anterior teeth in young children is one of the most challenging procedures in pediatric dentistry, due to convoluted morphology of the teeth and behaviour management issues. The aim of this study was to investigate the preference for strip crown and composite restoration for class III cavity in primary maxillary incisors by pediatric dentists. 496 maxillary incisor teeth with class III cavity in children aged between 2 to 6 years were assessed. The data were obtained from a patient management software. The teeth were restored either with strip crown or composite restoration. Out of 496 teeth (284- central incisors and 212- lateral incisors), 314 were restored using strip crown and 182 were restored with composite resin, which were statistically significant (P<0.05). Based on the findings of this study, strip crowns are more preferred than composite restoration for class III cavity in primary maxillary anteriors by pediatric dentists.
