Author: , SAISHREE ANCHANA RAJESWARAN, DR. SMILINE GIRIJA AS
Abstract: This review gives an overview on the propagation of n-CoV cases in India since January 2020 to till date. For the present study, around 40-45 articles retrieved in the present year (2020), related to the disease’s development in India, from portals like PubMed, Google Scholar, etc, were referred to and the review was drafted. The pathogenic nature, progression patterns, associated risk factors, susceptible populations and models of determining progress, of the n-CoV disease, were retrieved from previous literature and reviewed. Coronavirus belongs to a family of RNA viruses, causing a wide range of respiratory and intestinal afflictions. Currently, the novel Coronavirus is known to have caused havoc in an extensive manner, arising earlier, in the city of Wuhan. India had its first face-off with the disease on 30 January, 2020, after which the progression of the disease has been unstoppable.
