The aim of this study was to ascertain the various causes of odontophobia among the Chennai population. This is a cross sectional descriptive survey that was conducted among 100 participants. The survey consists of a self-administered questionnaire that was circulated through google forms; The data were collected and tabulated. The data was then exported and appropriate statistical analysis was done. Pie chart and bar graph was used to represent the result. 26% of the participants were scared of dentists. The results show that odontophobia is more common among the females than the males. Fear of dental drill and Injection was found to be the main cause of odontophobia.
