Intracanal medicaments is an important step in killing bacteria in root canals.They are generally considered to be an integral part of the treatment and important to the success of root canal therapy.Calcium hydroxide intracanal dressing is considered as the most appreciating intracanal medicaments.hence,the aim of this study is to assess the amount of caoh2 used as intracanal medicament in multi visit Root canal treatment. A retrospective study was conducted using the records of the patients. 3268 case sheets were reviewed which were dated between june 2019 to march 2020.the data was collected by the patient records of saveetha dental college and hospitals.The total sample size collected in this study was 3268. Male patients were 55.6% and female patients were 44.3%.Various types of intracanal medicament were used such as caoh2, chlorhexidine ,triple antibiotic paste and others.Calcium hydroxide(82%)was the most common intracanal medicament used in multi visit Root canal treatment. Male patients had undergone more multivist Root canal treatment than female patients.
