Awareness on Importance of Primary Health Care Service among Common People

| Abstract:

Primary health care is an essential healthcare which is based on scientifically sound and acceptable methods and technology. It refers to the medical care that a patient receives on the very first interaction with any system that provides health care. This medical care is provided by a nurse, a doctor or anybody with ideal medical practice. Nurses working in primary health care have general medical training or have been trained to do general work in any doctor‘s room. The study aims to create awareness on the importance of primary healthcare service among common people. Cross-sectional type of study conducted among the common people comprising 150 subjects. A total questionnaire of 15 questions were framed and responses were collected in Google forms; statistical analysis was done using SPSS software. Majority comprising 66.9% of the people have reported awareness on primary health care services and its importance. The survey concluded that awareness on the importance of primary health care among the common people is very much evident.
