Abstract: Social networking, the most debated topic among teenagers is an online service platform that focuses on building and reflecting social relations among people. Social networking which means social media, can be defined as “an online place where one can create a profile and build a personal network that connects him or her to the user”. The advantages of social network analysis are to make out opportunities to accelerate knowledge; improve innovation and learning and refine strategies. The aim of the study is to create awareness of the influence of social networks among college students. An online survey was conducted with a self-structured questionnaire comprising 15 questions related to the influence of social networks among college students. The results were analyzed by performing the statistical software “SPSS VERSION 20” and the result was represented in the pie chart and bar graph. In the current survey, it is evident that around 75% of participants are aware of the influence of social networking sites (SNS) and 36% of the participants use social networking sites. From the survey, it is evident that the majority of college students are getting influenced by Social networking sites. Analyzing and checking upon all the challenges, it was understood that students without getting addicted to social media were able to lead a good life.
