Evaluation of Knowledge Attitude and Practice of Oral Health Care Among Assam Population

Abstract:

Oral health is a mirror of systemic health. Oral health education and the process of providing oral health information to the people is of prime importance . Oral health care problems are universal ranging from children to adults and the most common problem is dental caries .The aim of our study is to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice of oral healthcare among the Assam population .A Cross Sectional survey was conducted among 100 participants belonging to the Assam population. A questionnaire was prepared and circulated through Google form link .Data was then tabulated and analysed using appropriate statistical analysis. 75.5 % of the participants were aware of oral health care and majority believe that brushing will help to maintain good oral health. But the practice aspect of oral health care is still lacking among the population .Within the limitation we can conclude by saying that the Assam population is having good knowledge about oral health care . But they are still lacking in awareness of oral health and dental practices
