Abstract: Heart attack refers to the death of a heart muscle which occurs due to thrombosis. There are various risk factors that account for the occurrence of heart attack. Heart attack is not specifically prone to any age group and affects all young, adult and aged populations. Heart attack occurs due to either etiological factors or risk factors. The risk factors can be grouped into modifiable and non-modifiable factors. A questionnaire was prepared which consisted of 15 basic questions and circulated to reach a target of 100 people. Survey mainly focused on the knowledge, awareness and factors that increase the risk of heart disease. Responses obtained from the survey were tabulated in excel and analysed.Based on the data collected from the questionnaire, the results were categorised in tables and Figures which focused on the participant opinion. The results states that 67% of the participants lead a stressful life,55% stated that stress was due to work pressure,40% experienced average stress in a day,, 82% participants are taking measures to reduce stress and 35% preferred yoga as a measure to reduce stress.
