Abstract: This study was conducted to investigate the negative bacteria causing urinary tract infection in women and men collected 170 samples of urine from women and men at Al-Shastra Hospital from September (2019) to march (2019) Bacteria were cultured on suitable agricultural media, isolating developing colonies and diagnosed by microscopic, agricultural and biochemical examinations. The results showed that Escherichia coli was the most common infection. In females, it reached 20.62% of 79.38% while males reached 9.38% of 90.63% The results of the statistical analysis confirmed the existence of significant differences between males and females Antibioticssusceptibility of all isolates were determines against the different antibiotic. The results showed that the bacteria E. coli resisted the antibiotics of (Chloramphenicol, Amoxicillin, Ciprofloxacin, Piperacillin, Ceftriaxone) where the diameter of the inhibition zone, respectively (7,12,15,10,9) mm. They were sensitive to both Meropenem, Gentamicin and Amikacin where the inhibition diameter was in mm (18,16,21mm) respectively. Proteus mirabilis was resistant to the antibiotics(Amoxicillin, Ciprofloxacin and Ceftriaxone, Gentamicin and Amikacin) where inhibition diameters reached mm (10,1,5,10,14 mm) And its sensitivity to the anti-meropenem where the diameter of the inhibitor mm (20 mm) The results of the statistical analysis also showed significant differences between the antibiotics used against the isolated negative bacteria caused by urinary tract infection.
