In the present work, the dependence of the accuracy of the calculated determination of the equilibrium composition of aqueous solutions containing EDTA and complexonates of iron (III) and copper (II) with EDTA on the methods for taking into account the influence of component concentrations is investigated. In the framework of the Debye – Hückel theory, semi-empirical equations for calculating activity coefficients are proposed, which differ in approaches to estimating the average distance of ion approach, as well as by introducing empirical quantities to expand the concentration ranges of applicability of the Debye – Hückel theory. The calculations show that with an increase in the number of components in solutions based on Trilon B, the difference between the results obtained using the Davis and Sketchard equations decreases.
