This article is based on the authors' own data on the positive effect of personalized LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) in the treatment of refractive amblyopia against the background of hyperopic refraction and mixed astigmatism on an increase in uncorrected visual acuity in patients and positive shifts towards improvement in this disease grade. Personalized LASIK, being a priority and effective treatment for refractive amblyopia against the background of hyperopic refraction and mixed astigmatism, contributes to an increase in the best-corrected visual acuity in 91% of cases. On the basis of reducing the total high-order aberrations, being a "trigger", it helps to reduce the number of cases of high-grade amblyopia to 60%, moderate-grade to 75% and to the recovery of low-grade amblyopia in all cases, which is confirmed by the data of visual acuity indicators. This article also substantiates the need to examine patients with refractive amblyopia to identify high-order aberrations severity in the preoperative period for the optimal choice of the type of keratorefractive laser surgery.
