Abstract: Attitude to illness is important to help a person adapt to his illness. Patient response to treatment affects disease prevention and treatment effectiveness. The approach to treatment is a very urgent problem, especially in patients with chronic diabetes mellitus. The study included 100 respondents. In the psychodiagnostic phase, 100 subjects aged 22-80 years (50 women and 50 men, 51 subjects with type 1 diabetes, 49 subjects with type 2 diabetes) participated. The mean age was 47.42 ± 13.27. The study was conducted in the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology of Uzbekistan. Statistical data were processed using SPSS 14.0. Using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to detect the difference in the distribution of quantitative indicators. Depending on the type of diabetes, the low level of loyalty was 47.1% in type 1 diabetes and 65.3% in type I diabetes. The high fidelity rate was 52.9% in type 1 diabetes and 34.7% in type II diabetes. Analysis of the results allowed determining the predominance of cognitive, behavioral, emotional-cognitive, emotional-behavioral, cognitive-behavioral components of loyalty in the study participants
