Impact Of Yoga On Immune System In Aged Population

Abstract: Globally aged population who are facing health issues,thus increasing the prevalence of non-fatal disabilities such as mental, behavioral and musculoskeletal disorders. Many of the commonly experienced health problems among the elderly can be prevented or delayed by embracing a physically active lifestyle. Research Surveys prove that regular physical activity in elderly populations can benefit mental disorders, cognitive deficits, pain, mobility and increase independence. The increasing ageing populations worldwide has increased the burden of disability. Therefore it is important to develop an intervention method that will improve healthy ageing, reduce disability onset and enhance life quality. Physical activity can promote healthy ageing and help to maintain independence, in spite of which many older adults are inactive yet. Yoga is a form of physical activity that aims to improve health and supports the mental status of elder population. Research indicates positive effects of yoga on several health-related outcomes.The aim of the survey study is to examine the effective impact of yoga on the immune system of the aged population. The present study has conducted an online based survey to analyze the impact of yoga on the immune system of the aged population. Yoga supports having a check on the food intake, Weight loss, strengthening the muscles, lowering the stress hormones, and a natural immunity booster that leads to a healthy and sick free body.The Survey study has concluded the Yoga practice among the aged population is increasing with its beneficial awareness among them in recent times. Yoga gives positive support to the person with acute or chronic diseases by maximizing the implementation of yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation. Therefore, yoga can provide many benefits and is easy to use at all ages and conditions.This awareness is increasingly seen in the aged population.
