The sella turcica is routinely traced for cephalometric analysis and its midpoint sella constitutes an important reference point in orthodontic cephalometry. Several studies have shown that sella turcica can be used as a growth predictor. The aim of this study is to compare and evaluate the sella turcica dimensions in adolescents with various growth patterns using lateral cephalograms. 60 Lateral Cephalogram which matched the inclusion criteria were selected from the case records of patients who reported for orthodontic treatment in a university hospital. They were grouped equally among the three growth patterns .All linear measurements of turcica were measured using Silverman1 and Kisling2 method. Results showed that there is a significant difference (p-0.022) in A-P dimension of the Sella turcica in various growth patterns, with maximum mean value of 11.17mm in vertical growth pattern,10.6mm in horizontal growth pattern and least mean value of 10.4mm in average growth pattern in Adolescents.
