Abstract: Due to the rapid growth of information technology, there has been a decrease in the traditional method of teaching as it is not sufficient to meet the current educational needs. For this, A questionnaire-based survey was conducted online using a survey planet by simple random sampling technique to 110 dental students based on their usage of smartphones after which the result was summarized and analyzed. The results showed that 88.5% of students felt that it made their study easier and needed to be encouraged by staff 89.5% students found it to be useful in the field of dentistry. Only half of the students install apps regarding dentistry on their phones. It was also found that 51.9%students spend an average of 3-5 hrs on their phone, 25.5%of the students spend 22-3 hrs on their phones and 22.6% of the students spend more than 5hrs on their phone and 96.1 students found it to be useful for their education. Thus, According to the survey, it was found that expanding learning activities using smartphones has become practical and possible too.
