Schiff base organic single-crystal of (E)-4-Iodo-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]phenol (4I2PMP) was obtained from slow evaporation techniques at 50°C and Single X-Ray diffraction (SXRD) has confirmed its crystalline structure. X-Rays diffraction analysis showed that this compound crystallizes in a non-centrosymmetric space group (Pca21) with a = 7.0848Å, b = 26.422Å, c = 6.2664Å and V= 1173.1Å3. Thermal analysis was performed and indicated that the crystal is higher thermal stability until 315.7°C and DTG curve the strong endothermic reaction at 307.5 ° C represent as a phase transformation. DSC curve exhibits sharps two endothermic reactions, which assigned as crystallization and melting point. The thermal study, combined with mass reductions, performed to confirm the understanding of the FTIR spectrum. Optical properties calculated the lower cut-off wavelength (350 nm), optical energy bandgap (Eg = 3.5ev) from the UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
