Lung cancer is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in worldwide. Thus it is the major cause of cancer-related deaths in males and the second major common in females following the breast cancer. Blood samples were collected from local hospitals in Baghdad. 100 patients were divided into 2 groups. Group 1 was included 30 smoker patients with lung cancer and 20 healthy as control and group 2 was included 30 non smoker patients with lung cancer and 20 healthy as control. The enzymes level (Lactate Dehydrogenase A ,Human17-Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase and Myloperoxidase ) was measured for both groups in try to find new biomarker that could be used a potentially assistance in early diagnosis of lung cancer. The results showed that there is an increase in all enzyme concentration in the serum of patients in comparison with the control for both groups with (P-Value =0.0001).
