Heat therapy can be a great contrivance in the management of chronic pain. There are many types of heat therapy is available among them Agnikarma is mostly practiced in ayurvedic fraternity. The choosing of dahanopakarana for agnikarma in Ayurveda is really exacting. The different Dahanopakarn given by Acharya Sushruta are- Pippalli, Ajashakrut, Godant, Shar, Shalaka, Jamboshtha, Itarlauha, Kshuadra, Guda, Sneha. These Dahanopakaran are classified according to the site where Agnikarama is required and also as Snigdha and Ruksha Agnikarma. most challenging demand for agnikarma procedure is accuracy and reproducibility of temperature to ensure the complete calibration and measurement consistency across thousands of samples of classical dahanopakaran in specific disorder. Some of the dahanopakaran used in these procedure needs thermal management to avoid causing extensive tissue damage, and offer suitable size in which to place heat transfer technology. The purpose of this research was to measure and prepare the module of temperature range of different classical dahanopakaran on flame to one minute just after removal from flame. This study was aimed to re-establishing old facts while contemplating newer ideas. These are the things throughout most of history, when there was no established concept of thermodynamics or thermostat of modern science & no thermometers to measure temperature. Acharya Sushruta has given concept of Agnikarma with control of temperature in the form of different dahanopakaran.
