Shiroroga occupy a prime position in the Urdhwajatrugata Vikara. Shira is most vital part of body where all Indriya and Prana are located. Mostly the term Shiroroga is used as synonyms of Shirashoola. The term Shirashoola encompasses all the aches and the discomfort located in the head. Headache or cephalgia is the symptoms of pain anywhere in the region of head, neck or scalp. There are different types of headache like tension, cluster, and migraine headache. Tension headache is primary disorder which is most neglected and difficult to treat. Tension headache can be correlated with Vataja Shirashoola in ayurveda context. In today’s life style tension headache is most commonly seen. Tension headache is related to stress, depression and anxiety. In Ayurveda Samhitas it is said that Chandanadi lepa is effective in Shiroroga chikitsa. So, an attempt has been made to assess the effect of Chandanadi lepa in the management of Vataja Shirashoola. In this, a single case study has been conducted. After 7 days of treatment, considerable improvement was seen in the clinical features of Vataja Shirashoola.
