Abstract:

In the article, the author considers the multilevel means of communicative accuracy of the texts patient information leaflets. Understanding the semantic content of patient information leaflets depends on their communicative accuracy: linguistic, communicative features, characteristics, various communicative strategies that have a certain impact due to certain genres. The author concludes that pharmaceutical or patient information leaflets have a complex structure that is not strictly regulated. In the texts of the leaflets, terminology is allowed to vary; there is no strict standard. Pharmaceutical discourse, combining a set of terms included in the field of medicine and pharmacy, as well as other areas that defines the boundaries and subject field of pharmacy as a system of interdisciplinary communication. The article shows which communication tools facilitate the perception of texts of patient information leaflets, provide an adequate understanding of these texts by different participants of the pharmaceutical discourse, who do not have special knowledge in the field of medicine and pharmacy.
