Human Resource Management in the Healthcare System: the Issue of the Implementation of Adaptation Procedure

Abstract: Adaptation involves a set of measures that are utilized to induct new employees into the workforce. This issue is relevant for any business entity that hires employees, regardless of its form of incorporation, range of work, and sphere of activity. To get the most out of the employees, the employer should create the appropriate conditions to reveal the employees’ potential as quickly as possible and to ensure their psychological confidence. The goal of personnel adaptation procedure is to meet the demand for the employees of a certain quality and quantity, which may lead to an increase in the organization’s competitiveness and profitability, and preferably, to a reduction in its expenditure. Thus, adaptation is one of the most important techniques of human resource management systems. The scientific novelty of the study is as follows: - The authors of the research have developed a mechanism for evaluating and improving personnel adaptation procedure in healthcare institutions; - It was suggested the scheme of personnel adaptation process in healthcare institutions basing on the process approach combined with the cost-effectiveness analysis. The following research methods were used in the study: retrospective analysis, method of statistical observation, system analysis, calculations based on the use of the financial management and statistics tools, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
