Abstract:

A key vector in the development of the global pharmaceutical market is the active introduction of biotechnology in the field of development and production of modern and promising medicines. In this regard, the training of specialists who are able to work effectively in the context of the dynamic development of industry and the entry of national companies into international markets with competitive generics and bio-analogues, and in the future with innovative drugs, is of particular relevance to the pharmaceutical industry. The authors, based on a synthesis of international experience in training personnel for the pharmaceutical industry, note the still existing differences between Russian and European pharmaceutical education. So, for example, despite Russia's many years of participation in the Bologna process, the undergraduate and graduate degrees have only recently been included in educational standards in the field of higher pharmaceutical education in Russia. The listed prerequisites determine the relevance of harmonizing the educational programs of Russian universities aimed at training pharmacists and the requirements of the modern international market to ensure the employment of qualified specialists and to fill the staffing needs of biotechnological enterprises and the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.
