Recent resin-based and ceramic-based computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) materials have been used to restore endodontically treated teeth. Adaptation of the restoration is important for clinical success, but studies evaluating the effect of these materials on the adaptation of endocrowns are lacking. Restoration of endodontically treated teeth has been a challenging procedure in restorative dentistry because of their high risk for biomechanical failure. Teeth are susceptible to fracture as a result of reduced water content and loss of structural integrity associated with deep dental caries, trauma, or restorative and endodontic procedures. The effect of CAD-CAM material on the adaptation of endocrown are lacking. The different CAD-CAM endocrown materials are reviewed and the better material is determined based on its fit and advantages. The effect of CAD-CAM material on the adaptation of endocrown is lacking. The aim of this article is to review and evaluate different CAD-CAM material used in the making of endocrown.
