Abstract: Introduction: Ciprofloxacin is widely used quinolines which cover both gram-positive and gram-negative micro-organism, and most of the patients were well tolerated. Commonly Common side effects include gastrointestinal effects and photosensitivity, but bullous fixed drug eruption is rare. Case presentation: The 49 years old male patient admitted the male dermatology ward with complaints of painful lesions on the face, genital, both thighs and legs from 3 three days. He was having a history of drug administration from the private practitioner. After taking the drug, he developed the dermatological lesions and visited the hospital for dermatological consultation. He had a positive history of the same drug reaction and diagnosed as Ciprofloxacin induced fixed drug eruption at the time of one year back. The patient was confirmed as ADR of Ciprofloxacin after the causality assessment. Treatment: on hospital admission, the suspected culprit drug was stopped and intervened by steroid, topical antimicrobials, emollient, and saline compression. Conclusion: ADR was identified and reported to the pharmacovigilance center and the patient was counseled to avoid the Ciprofloxacin.
