Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Web Blight: A General Review

Abstract: Web blight is a fungal infection affecting plants, caused by “Rhizoctonia solani”. The bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Web blight”. All published articles related to “Web blight” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the scientific literature regarding the “Web blight” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals in this research domain were identified as are Plant Disease and Wireless Personal Communications. The most active countries were the United States of America and South Korea. The leading organizations engaged in the research regarding Web blight was the USDA Agricultural Research Service and The University of Puerto Rico of USA. The most active authors who had made valuable contributions related to Web blight disease were Copes W.E. and Steadman J.R.
