Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Loose Smut: A General Review

Abstract: Loose smut disease is a fungal infection, commonly found in Wheat, Oats, and Barley. The bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Loose smut”. All published articles related to “Loose smut” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the scientific literature regarding the “Loose smut” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals in this research domain are the Canadian Journal of Plant Science, Canadian Journal of Plant and Genome. The most active country is Canada and Kenya. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada) of Canada is the most active research institute in this research domain. The most active authors related to Loose smut disease are Menzies J.G., Knox R.E., and Swart W.J.
