Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Rosellinia Root Rot: A General Review

Abstract:

Rosellinia root rot is a fungal infection caused by a pathogen, “Rosellinia necatrix” and the fungus can survive in the soil for years. This fungal infection can be transmitted through root grafts and infected soil. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Rosellinia root rot”. All published articles related to “Rosellinia root rot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Rosellinia root rot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Rosellinia root rot is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this plant disease are Journal of General Plant Pathology, Journal of Virology, and Phytopathology. Japan is the country where active research is going on regarding the Rosellinia root rot, followed by Spain. The top organization focusing on Rosellinia root rot is the National Agriculture Research Organisation (NARO). The most active authors in this research domain are Kanematsu S. and Salaipeth L.
