An occurrence of Corona virus infection (COVID 19), grounded by a novel severe respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), happened in Wuhan City, China in December, 2019. It is a respiratory infection together with cold, pneumonia, coughing and sneezing; however, it affects diarrhea and higher respiratory diseases in animals. It is an airborne disease transmitted from human to human or human to animal. The membrane receptor named ACE-2 exopeptidase, is a site from where corona virus enters in human cell. This paper conducted a review literature based on publically existing information to recapitulate understanding about the pathogen and the recent pandemic. WHO advised the COVID-19 virulent disease as a communal health disaster of global concern and instructed to stay away from unrestricted places and contact to infected persons.
