Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends In Pythium Root Rot: A General Review

Pythium root rot is a fungal infection affecting plants, caused by the pathogen “Pythium spp”. This pathogen is soil-borne and can produce several spores. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Pythium root rot”. All published articles related to “Pythium root rot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Pythium root rot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Pythium root rot is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this plant disease are Plant Disease and Applied and Environmental Microbiology. The USA is the country, followed by South Korea. The top organization focusing on Pythium root rot is the Washington State University and USDA-Agricultural Research Service of USA.
