Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Nectria Canker: A General Review

Nectria canker is a fungal infection caused by two types of fungi “Nectria cinnabarina” and“Nectria gallingena1”. This disease may affect over sixty species of trees including apple, pear, and walnut. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Nectria canker”. All published articles related to “Nectria canker” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Nectria canker” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Nectria canker is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this plant disease is the European Journal of Plant Pathology, New Zealand Plant Protection, Forest Pathology, and Studies in Mycology. The United Kingdom is the country where active research is going on regarding the Nectria Canker, followed by Chile and New Zealand. The top organization focusing on Nectria Canker is the Horticulture Research International of the UK. The most active authors are Scheper R.W.A., Rossman A.Y., Jung T., and Walter M.
