Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Mucor Rot: A General Review

Abstract:

Mucor rot is a post-harvest fungal infection affecting stone fruits. Mucor rot is caused by the “Mucor piriformis E. Fischer”. Storage sanitation, site sanitation, and water sanitation are inevitable to prevent this disease. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Mucor rot”. All published articles related to “Mucor rot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Mucor rot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Mucor rot is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this research domain are Plant Disease, European Journal of Plant Pathology, and Postharvest Biology and Technology. The USA is the most active country regarding the research on Mucor rot, followed by Chile. The top organization focusing on Mucor rot is the Oregon State University of USA. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to Mucor rot is Spotts R.A., Adaskaveg J.E., and Zoffoli J.P.
