Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Glomerella Leaf Spot: A General Review

Abstract:

Glomerella leaf spot is an emerging fungal infection caused by “Colletotrichum gloeosporioides”1. Hot and humid conditions are favourable for this disease. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Glomerella Leaf Spot”. All published articles related to “Glomerella Leaf Spot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Glomerella Leaf Spot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Glomerella Leaf Spot is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this plant disease are Plant Disease, Phytopathology and Fungal Diversity. Brazil and HongKong are the active countries in this research domain. The top organization focusing on Glomerella Leaf Spot is the Qingdao Agricultural University of China and the Chiang Mai University of Thailand.
