Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Club Root Disease

Abstract:

Clubroot is a fungal infection caused by the fungus “Plasmodiophora brassicae”. This pathogen can be transmitted from infected plants to healthy plants, through uncleaned farm equipment, and infected soil. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Clubroot disease”. All published articles related to “clubroot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Clubroot disease” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals related to this plant disease are Journal of the Torrey Botanical Society, European Economic Review, and Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions. The most active countries in this research domain are the USA and Portugal. The top organizations focusing on the clubroot disease are the Department of Dermatology of Columbia University and the Economics Department of London School of Economics. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to Clubroot disease are Ludwig-Muller J. and Quah D.T.
