Abstract:

Cercospora leaf spot is a fungal infection caused by the fungus in “Cercospora species”. The major causes for the spread of this infection are rain and overhead irrigation and there are several precautionary measures against this disease. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Cercospora leaf spot”. All published articles related to “Cercospora leaf spot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Cercospora leaf spot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals related to Botrytis Blight are Plant Disease, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, and Remote Sensing of Environment. The USA is the country where active research is going on regarding Cercospora leaf spot, followed by Germany. The top organizations focusing on Cercospora leaf spot are North Dakota University of USA and Bonn University of Germany. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to Cercospora leaf spot are Pethybridge S.J., Oerke E.-C., Steiner U., Plümer L., Rumpf T., and Secor G.A.
