Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Botrytis Blight

Abstract: Botrytis blight is a fungal infection affecting buds, flowers, and leaves of plants and with the symptoms of abnormal growth and decoloration. This disease is mainly transmitted through overhead irrigation, wind, and rain. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Botrytis Blight”. All published articles related to “Botrytis Blight” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Botrytis Blight” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals related to Botrytis Blight are Plant Disease, Biological Control, and Fungal Genetics and Biology. The USA is the country where active research is going on regarding Botrytis Blight, followed by Croatia. The top organizations focusing on Botrytis Blight are Agriculture and Agrifood Canada of Canada, Huazhong Agricultural University, and University of Bologna of Italy. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to Botrytis Blight is Carisse O., Jiang D., Li G’, Zhang J., Wang T.-K.., and Choi G.J.
