Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Black Root Rot: A General Review

Abstract:

Black root rot is a fungal infection caused by “Thielaviopsis basicola”, a soil-borne fungus. The major symptoms, disease management measures, and challenges are highlighted in this article. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Black root rot”. All published articles related to “Black root rot” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Black root rot” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals related to “Black root rot” are Plant Disease, Phytopathology, and Genome Research. The USA is the most active country engaged in research regarding Black root rot, followed by Switzerland. The top organizations focusing on Black root rot is University of Lyon of France and the most active author who had made valuable contributions related to Black root rot is Defago G. and Maurhofer M.
