Analysis and Visualisation of Research Trends in Alternaria Blotch

Abstract:

Alternaria blotch is a fungal infection caused by the pathogen “Alternaria mali”. Alternaria blotch is a very common disease among apple leaves. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Alternaria blotch”. All published articles related to “Alternaria blotch” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Alternaria blotch” and also to find out the trends related to the same. Alternaria blotch is an interesting research domain and the most active journals related to this are Plant Disease, Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, European Journal of Plant Pathology, and Current Genetics. The most active countries engaged in this research domain are India, Japan, the USA, and the Netherlands. The top organization engaged in this research domain is the Tottori University of Japan and the University of Queensland, Australia. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to “Alternaria Blotch” is Kodama M., Otani H. Itoh Y.
