The present study aimed to find out the bacterial causes of subclinical endometriosis in cows that suffer from repeated conception failure, as the study included (45) cows of the local breeds located in Salah al-Din Governorate, with (35) cows suffering from repeated conception failure and (10) normal cows without conception failure were approved as control animals from August 2019 to April 2020. The study was divided into two parts. The first part included the cytological diagnosis of subclinical endometriosis by investigating the presence of polymorph nuclear cell in the uterine secretions during the period of estrus by using vaginal swabs on a glass slide, and staining them with Geimsa stain, and the second part in the laboratory through isolation and diagnosis of bacteria by collecting samples from vaginal secretions during the period of estrus by taking cotton swabs and cultivating them in the laboratory on different cultures. Then these bacteria were diagnosis and differentiation according to Geimsa stain and biochemical tests. The results of the study showed that 80% of cows that suffered from repeated conception failure had subclinical endometriosis through the presence of polymorph nuclear cell in their vaginal secretions. As for the bacterial isolation, the results showed that 71 isolates of bacteria were isolated from six types of bacteria and that the total number of bactria positive for the Gram stain that were isolated from the infected cows was 47 isolates, with a percentage of 66.91% of the total isolates, while the number of negative Gram stain bacteria isolates were 24 samples, by 23.80% of the total isolates of the cows. The most common bacteria were Staphylococcus aureus with a percentage of (26.76%), followed by Staphylococcus epidermidis (22.53%), Streptococci by 16.90%, Escherichia coli by 15.49% and Klebsiella by (12.67%), while the lesser was Proteus bacterial isolation, only by (5.63%). We conclude from the current study that subclinical endometriosis had a clear role in the incidence of repeated conception failure in cattle, both Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis were the most common types of bacteria isolated in cows that had subclinical endometriosis.
