Edentulism acts as a debilitating condition where the patients social activity affects a lot. The difficulty with complete denture is the instability of the denture and many factors like saliva, mucosa, ridge, and mandibular movement of the patient may lead to the loss of stability. These factors are considered and a supportive option have been introduced in the field of implant dentistry. The maxilla exhibits much less mobility on the borders of the denture than the mandible, moreover having a stable palate with thick fibrous tissues available to support the prostheses and resist occlusal forces. These differences explain most of the reasons why patients experience difficulty with using a complete denture on the mandibular arch compared to the maxillary arch.a minimalist approach with two implants to retain a removable prosthesis or a fixed restoration which may be a hybrid type restoration or metal ceramic implant supported restoration. The overdenture type restoration is the least expensive initially, however, it requires more maintenance and the prosthesis continues to load tissues posterior tothe implants.
