Knowledge and Awareness Of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Among Dental Students.

Abstract: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves inhaling pure oxygen in a pressurized room or tube. According to mayo clinic, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established treatment for decompression sickness, a hazard of scuba diving. Other conditions treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy include serious infections, bubbles of air in your blood vessels, and wounds that won't heal as a result of diabetes or radiation injury. A questionnaire composed of 10 structured questions with multiple choices were distributed via an online survey platform - Survey Planet. Total of 100 responses were recorded and analysed.The results obtained were tabulated and represented in the form of graphs. Most of them are aware about hyperbaric oxygen therapy however, there are some who are still unclear about the concept and facts.
