Many teaching methods attain frequent failure to rehabilitate children with developmental coordination disorder. Educational training coupled with occupational therapy interventions may facilitate the child to balance and compensate for the shortcomings of conventional schooling. However, every researcher aims to describe the despite the effectiveness of SE services and the influence of bias and other real life challenge in educating the children with developmental coordination disorder. Few studies have aimed to outline the shortcomings of approaches used to enhance the learning skill among children with DCD. Current study employed delivering SE sessions of education on 5-10 year children with DCD in and around various therapy centers in and around Chennai. Academic achievement and task motivation were analyzed among children (n=10). Results proved that SE sessions adversely affected the math achievements among children with DCD but no effect was documented for reading and writing task. No effect was documented on task motivation for reading, writing and math. The effectiveness of SE on academic achievement and task motivation among children with DCD is called into question and further studies are needed to validate the findings as the sample size selected for the study is small and we can’t generalize the findings. Solutions need to be explored with large sample size.
