Many research papers reported the inhibitory and bactericidal properties of Silver nanoparticles. Chemical synthesis of Silver nanoparticles by using a chemical reduction from aqueous solutions of silver nitrate and examine their inhibitory effect against gram positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis and gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Results showed very weak antibacterial activity and with un measured zones of inhibition. The Kirby-Bauer method was used for the antibacterial study. Based on the results obtained from this work and many previous published studies that the antibacterial effect may be dose as well as size and shape dependent and in order to support the above opinion further analysis using FEG-TEM and SEM are needed.
