MILA in Teaching Microbiology for Dental Students

Abstract: Microbiology deals with microorganisms like bacteria, virus, fungi, protozoa. It's a volatile subject to remember the genus, species and pathogenesis by mere listening. Hence interactive learning is a better choice. This helps students learn faster and remember longer. They will be able to apply this knowledge into clinical practice and be better practitioners. Also, the concentration span of students was considered in planning these sessions and it was kept as 20 minutes followed by a hands on activity session. Thus, Multiple Interactive Learning Algorithm proves to be an effective learning tool.
