Knowledge and awareness of failure of technologies used in the field of dentistry among dental college students.

Abstract: Technologies that failed in dentistry are a circumstances failure. Technology innovation would ultimately improve and broaden access to dental care, but some technologies had a massive failure which includes telemonitoring and teletreatment. The aim of the study is to know the knowledge and awareness of failure of technologies used in the field of dentistry. A total of 100 participants were involved in the study.Self administered questionnaire of close ended questions was prepared related to technologies and their disadvantages in dentistry and distributed among the dental students through online survey link.The datas were collected ,analyzed and tabulated using SPSS software. The Pearson Chi square test was also done. The result reveals 30% of the dental students were aware of all known technologies and their disadvantages in the field of dentistry, while the remaining 70% of the dental students were not aware of the all known technologies and their disadvantages in the field of dentistry.The Chi-square test was done in association with the year of study of dental college students and the knowledge and awareness of technologies that were not successful and failed in the field of dentistry.This study concludes that most of the students are not aware of failure of technologies used in the field of dentistry.
